Akyemfuo Asiedu Agyemang III, the Chief of Abetifi and the Adontenhene of Kwahu Traditional Area has donated 200 dual and mono desks worth GH¢30,000.00 to schools in Abetifi in the Kwahu East District to support effective teaching and learning.

Among the beneficiary schools include; the Abetifi Anglican Primary and Junior High school (JHS), Abetifi Presbyterian Primary and JHS, Abetifi Roman Catholic JHS and the Abetifi D/A School.

In a short presentation ceremony Akyemfuo Agyemang said the gesture was to support schools that had inadequate furniture for quality education delivery and encouraged parents in the community to appreciate the need to educate their wards and consider it as the right of their children.

He promised to support educational development in the area.

Receiving the furniture on behalf of the beneficiary schools, Mr. Moses Boahene, the Abetifi- Pepease Circuit Supervisor, commended Nana for the donation, indicating that any support to education was a worthy course that should always be encouraged.

In another development, Akyemfuo Asiedu Agyemang III has been named after the Abetifi Anglican Model School for his continuous support to the progress of the school.
