Do Well To Live For Jesus Christ--Ghanaians Reminded

The District Head Pastor of Victory Bible Church International (VBCI) Tarkwa, Reverend Joseph Anyane Asare, has reminded Ghanaians and the world to live for Christ alone as they celebrate his death and resurrection.

He said believers needed to refrain from immorality, lies and unfaithfulness to make the atonement of Jesus Christ through his crucifixion meaningful.

Delivering a sermon to end the church's Easter convention at the Power Sanctuary branch in Tarkwa on the theme "Living for Christ" Rev. Asare explained that the Easter festivity was not a fun fair because Jesus made the greatest sacrifice to save mankind of sins.

The four-day Easter convention was on the theme "Power in the blood".

He said "Celebrating Christ is not about taking meat, food and drinks but God wants us to live a holy life in building his kingdom".

Rev. Asare asked the congregation to follow the steps of Christ so that they can become light to the nation, and added that "when there is light development will increase".

The District head Pastor entreated the youth to raise the banner of Christ high, work hard and set good examples wherever they found themselves.

"The Bible says righteousness extort a nation so if you walk faithfully God's righteousness will come and the nation will be extorted and as we walk in faithfulness, there will be development and our nation will go on, the youth will get work to do and all of us will live peacefully with one another" He added.

He used the Easter period to urge all people who had not accepted Jesus Christ to do so now to experience his goodness.

The programme would be climaxed with a picnic on Easter Monday, April 2 at the church premises.
