The Africa Internship Academy (AIA) under the auspices of the People Initiative Foundation has begun its fifth internship training programme for pre-tertiary and tertiary students between the ages of 15 to 28 years.

The one-month programme will enable interns to participate in field trips, educational fairs and meetings with resource persons and experts.

The Africa Internship Academy is the first of its kind on the continent and offered a unique opportunity for future leaders, influencers and decision-makers from all over Africa to be groomed professionally and experience workplace culture.

Mr Emmanuel Leslie Addae, Co-Founder of People Initiative Foundation, said the Academy was 'grooming Africa's next generational change agents' and that, they specialize in connecting Africa's young talents through Internships and mentorships.

The interns would be taken through various topics including critical thinking, and listening skills, creating successful business models, verbal and written communication, team building and negotiation skills among others.

For the fifth time running, since its inception in 2016, participants after the one-month programme will spend four weeks with host companies and be assigned mentors, who will support them as they build their career.
