Are The NPP Kidding Themselves Or God With Regards To The Ongoing Kumawu Chieftaincy Dispute?

Feature Article Are The NPP Kidding Themselves Or God With Regards To The Ongoing Kumawu Chieftaincy Dispute?
FEB 18, 2018 LISTEN

Is there the need for NPP to turn the Kumawu chieftaincy dispute into a political issue by their lopsidedly-biased involvement in support of the apparently guilty party? There are a number of the NPP Government Ministers that have assured Kumawuhemaa and Asantehene of their support and are doing whatever they can to guarantee them victory in the ongoing Kumawu chieftaincy dispute.

I wonder how these Ministers can so soon decide to act irresponsibly in a manner comparable to the era of the John Mahama’s NDC-led government and in contrast to the proclamation by their leader, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, not to involve himself in chieftaincy cases. Are they doing that for the sake of what they stand to gain as selfish and myopic individuals as they are or just to prove that they are in power and have the inalienable right to do what they want when they want?

Did Ghanaians vote for a change of government, thus, for NPP with intent to have a clean break from the disgusting practices of corruption by the NDC or their clamour for change was just superficial with the underlying desire for the continuation of same corrupt practices? Corruption, as I keep on hammering, is not just about embezzlement of State funds and assets by those in position of power but more about the abuse of power by those in power.

To the NPP Government, could they please tell me when a committed act of crime ceases to be a crime? Is there an expiry date for crime that has not been prosecuted and punished? Are there two sets of laws in Ghana; one for the poor and the needy and the other for the rich and the most powerful persons? What do the NPP Government and party, especially those Ministers meddling in the Kumawu chieftaincy dispute to twist justice to suit their selfish interests think about the developments at the Manhyia Palace on 24 February 2014 as captured on video and posted on the YouTube under the title “Asantehene involved in corruption” and under the web link below?

Additionally, how do they see the developments at Manhyia Palace on the said date in relation to the contents of my feature article published on Modernghana dated 6 December 2014 headlined, “RE: Asantehene is the Overlord of Asanteman” and under the web link:

Furthermore, they had better read my numerously published articles having to do with the fraudulent gazetting of Dr Yaw Sarfo as “Kumawuhene” going by the stool name Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua.

In the midst of all the breaches both constitutional and conventional, some NPP Ministers have the shameless audacity to fling their weight behind Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Kumawuhemaa Nana Abenaa Serwaah Amponsah to ensure they emerge victorious in the pending court cases regardless of the enormity and seriousness of the breaches. They are simply jokes; I can assure them on authority of a revelation by God which when it manifests, they will not only curse the day that they were born but also, the womb that conceived them.

When conducting an opinion poll to predict which political party can win a pending election, what are the modalities used to bring your prediction within a margin of certainty? Don’t you interview a cross-section of the population from both sexes, different age groups and from different constituencies and regions? In case you interview only students, your results may favour only one particular party. When you interview only old people, your prediction may favour another party so also if you conduct your search in say Ashanti region alone, the acknowledged stronghold of NPP, you will come out saying NPP will win the general election. When you do it only in the Volta region, the stronghold of NDC, you will be persuaded to conclude that the NDC is surely going to win the election. However, if you do your search across all the ten regions or say six out of the current ten regions interviewing a cross-section of the population of different age groups, education backgrounds and sexes, you are bound to come out with a near-conclusive survey.

Now, it has come to my knowledge that some intelligence-gathering personnel were recently dispatched to Kumawu to find out from the ground whether or not Kumawuman, or to be more specific Kumawu, subjects, do like Dr Yaw Sarfo as their Omanhene. I don’t know who, why and how they were sent? Nevertheless, I have been made to understand that they were returning with their fact findings as follows.

A) Kumawu is calm; there are no any problems of protestations against the enstoolment of Dr Yaw Sarfo as Kumawuhene.

B) Everybody in Kumawu likes Dr Yaw Sarfo because the opposing party (the Odumases and the Ananangyas) used to observe the traditional consecrated days (“da bone”) like “Akwasidae” but they have ceased doing so for such a long time.

C) All the elders supporting the publicly-accepted and famous Kumawuhene Barima Tweneboa Kodua V from the Ananangya royal family have escaped.

Here is my beef with the supposed conclusion for the fact findings cunningly organised by whoever with intent to influence court judges to twist justice in favour of their favourites in which case they are Asantehene, Kumawuhemaa and Dr Yaw Sarfo.

  1. Who was sent to Kumawu to conduct that search and what was their objective?
  2. When and how did the person go to Kumawu?
  3. Who or how many people did the person interview and what were the questions asked?
  4. Who was their first contact or host in Kumawu?
  5. Did the person interview people from the various parts of Kumawu, thus, named residential communities like Etia, Apebiakyere, Zongo, Hyiawu, Apeetoo, Awerewaso, etc.?
  6. Did the person just go to the Kumawu palace to consult Dr Yaw Sarfo and Kumawuhemaa and their handful of supporters to come up with their conclusion?
  7. Does the person know that any tangible fact finding should have included some other towns and villages in Kumawuman that forms the Kumawu traditional area of which a Kumawuhene is the head?
  8. Does the person know that the ongoing serenity in Kumawu does not in any way translate into the acceptance of Dr Yaw Sarfo as Kumawuhene and exoneration from his established committed crimes if any?

I am sure NPP, their agents and assigns are not trying to underrate the intelligence of the subjects of Kumawuman and God in particular, who is now in charge of things and will not spare whoever is desirous to make Him appear a liar in the eyes of human beings.

Were NPP happy when they were short-changed at the 2012 elections that resulted in a Supreme Court petition? If they were not happy, why are they seeking to inflict same wrongdoings on other people because they are poor and deemed powerless to protest?

Do the members of the NPP Government and party think they can use police brutalities to silence the otherwise innocent party in the ongoing court cases because they are poor and have no political backing? They have God, I must make it clear to you!

Was it not during NPP’s time under His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo that armed police personnel were sent to Kumawu-Bodomase to brutalise Kumawuhene Barima Tweneboa Kodua V and his cortege during the funeral of the late Akyempimhene of Kumawu, Nana Okyere Krapa Yiadom II, his father? Everyone knew that COP Kofi Boakye had arranged that assault in agreement with the current Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah. However, we never bothered to lay blame on the doorsteps of the NPP Government because they were barely into government.

The political interferences and inclinations influencing judges’ decision-making on court cases could be real. If it were not so, a University of Ghana Law Professor Raymond Atuguba would not have given a talk about it which has attracted condemnations from Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo and other Supreme Court Judges. Why do Ghanaians fear to be told the hard truth? Unless we accept our shortcomings, we can never change for the better in order to progress as a people and a nation.

Is Professor Raymond Atuguba ruffling the feathers of the Supreme Court Judges and unknowingly or intentionally inciting the public against them? On Modernghana on Saturday, 17 February 2018 as sourced from My JoyOnline, there were the following two headlines and their web links which will throw light on how some judges’ allegedly allow their decisions to be dictated by their political party leanings but not the facts and evidence in front of them.

I hope the President of the Republic of Ghana will have the courage to advise or warn his Ministers to stay away from the Kumawu chieftaincy dispute without interfering with it to twist justice in favour of one party or the other. God is in control and as revealed, his visitation of wrath upon the party will be dire. I wish God had revealed His anger about to be unleashed on the party because of their unnecessary meddling in the case. God hated what the NDC were doing hence taking all the necessary measures to ensure the NPP won the election. He allowed people to go the extra miles to guarantee NPP success. He will not sit down and watch while NPP use their political power to maltreat the poor as it is seemingly being orchestrated by some rogue Ministers within the government.

Being a messenger, I have proclaimed God’s wish and he who has ear, let him hear what the spirit is saying.

Finally, I leave the following quotation from the bible to be mused on by all those dubiously working around the clock to deny the poor in the Kumawu chieftaincy dispute justice. God will surely strike should we remain disobedient to his revelation “A recurrent theme in Isaiah is a call for justice and righteousness. Justice (also judgment in the AKJV) refers to a rule of law or retributive justice, whereas righteousness refers to being personally upright and mindful of the poor, ensuring distributive justice”.

I have to retire to bed as I have stayed awake into the wee hours of Sunday, 18 February 2018 writing this article.
