MP Fights Dr. Amoako Tuffuor

MP Fights Dr. Amoako Tuffuor
17.02.2018 LISTEN

I don't understand this paradox. The Constituency Chairman of a political party gets suspended for misconduct and the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Constituency goes online with a response (see ghanaweb NPP MP fights Amoako Tuffuor over unilateral sanctions 626678). Was the Honorable MP an accomplice?

And did I hear him (the MP) talk about the rule of law?

Every right thinking student of law knows and accepts that it is only prudent to suspend accused leaders while investigations are conducted into a pending case.

Outlined below are the reasons for the suspension of the Nhyiaeso NPP Constituency Chairman:

"1. Deletion of names from the constituency's voter register which is the most serious and important accusation given that, next week Tuesday is the election calls for an immediate action.

2. Assault of two (2) constituency executives on two separate occasions.

3. Refusal to peruse the financial report of the constituency with the constituency executives.

It is therefore on this note that Mr. George Kofi Agyei has been temporarily suspended.

If these actions are corrected as they ought to be, then there would be no suspension. But if not corrected, suspension would still remain. Thus, emergency situations call for emergency measures."

...Signed...
Dr. Kwame Amoako Tuffuor
Chairman-Disciplinary Committee)"
The above-listed reasons notwithstanding, the (dis) Honorable MP still had the effrontery to go bonkers.

And by the way Mr. (dis) Honorable Kennedy Kankam, the name of the Disciplinary Committee Chairman is Dr. Kwame Amoako Tuffuor and not Dr. Richard Amoako Tuffuor.
