Criminals Threaten Female Teachers In Ajumako

Female teachers based in Ajumako K. Junction, a suburb of Ajumako in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the central region, claim they are currently living in what they describe as fear and panic due to the increasing rate of crime in the community.

According to them, criminals usually break into their homes and demand for sex from female teachers.

“The criminals sometimes threaten us to show them where we keep our money or they have crazy sex with us”, they decried.

“The situation is getting worse and we will demand for mass transfer should the police fail to act accordingly”, they said.

The teachers made the appeal at the 12th Education and General meeting of Ajumako Teachers cooperative credit Union in Ajumako.

Meanwhile, the Ajumako police commander, DSP John Paul Akondi, who spoke to us, promised to intensify police patrols in the area especially in the school hours when the teachers are not at home to ensure that, lives and properties are well protected.

The board chairman of the credit Union, Mr. Gamadey Semanu, reiterated the commitment of the Union to support all teachers who have lost their money or properties through the criminals in the district.
