Brandy is the name of my dog
Wild at strangers like a hungry mog
Tis so feral most at times
When walked in criminals at night times.
This amazing pregnant dog's puppies sacrificed
In the storm of delivery to my surprise
After million times of yelps
For safety delivery of its whelps.
Once more, when the hour to pup knocks again
Brandy went through deep pains
Amidst barking
But dead whilst whelping.
Double minded I became in thoughts
Looking at the rivers of pains that it brought
Trying to whelp safely
But finally dead painfully.
I appreciate women in Labour
Going through this pains for hours
And agonies for safety delivery
But lost many babes at the ward in shivery.
Some women even kick the bucket after delivery
Leaving the babes in this darkest world full of scary.

Salutes all women round the globe
For the pains and agonies they suffer in labour like a dying rose

To bring us to the surface of this earth
Indeed! They're the vehicles board we ply to this world through birth.

To you, All souls are grateful.
