Nkoranza Police Lauded

Mr. Nick Danso Adjei, a business tycoon has commended the Nkoranza South Municipal Police Command for its unyielding effort that led to reduced robbery attacks on the Nkoranza-Ejura highway in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

He observed that Police presence on the highway had brought great relief to drivers, traders, and passengers, saying such security presence on the stretch must be continued.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Bredi in the Municipality, on the sidelines of the celebration of the Krufie festival, Mr. Adjei, popularly known as 'Abeam' pledged his commitment to support the Police Service in crime fighting.

The annual Krufie festival, which is celebrated by the Chiefs and People of Bredi, aimed at portraying and preserving the ancestral and cultural heritage of the people attracted hundreds of fetish priests and priestesses, drawn from the length and breadth of the country.

Other traditional priests from Togo, Benin, United States and France joined the people to commemorate the three-day festival.

Amidst drumming and firing of musketries, the fetish priests and priestesses who were dressed in their diverse traditional regalia displayed their ancient days of the priesthood and spiritual prowess at the Bredi town square.

Mr. Adjei, who is also a philanthropist, noted that modern policing and crime combat was a shared and collective responsibility hence the need for society to support the Police.

He entreated the Police Administration to endeavour to maintain a Police Post and Police quarters he had built to accommodate personnel in the area.

Mr. Adjei later unveiled a residential apartment he constructed at the cost of US$800,000 at Bredi in honour of his late father Nana Kwadwo Adjei, who settled and developed the Bredi community.
