CEO of Slip Music, Mark Okraku Mantey, says the implementation of the free Senior High School (SHS) education policy will push the nation forward.

According to him, the policy introduced by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will increase the percentage of literates in the country adding that the policy will also see the rate of school dropouts decrease.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty, Mark stressed that the lack of secondary school education has caused a lot of people to easily believe hearsays without probing or asking questions.

He recalled eavesdropping on a conversation where a woman accused a politician of giving contracts to people without any concrete evidence yet people believed her; a situation he believes education can solve.

Mr Mantey, who is also Head of the Creative Arts Council, said “when the mind develops, it knows how to deal with facts… Free SHS will solve a lot of problems. Now about 70 percent will receive the basic education,” he stated.

"Wen the minds develop, the laws will work better because you don’t need to use the money to enforce laws before they work."
