It was a moment of joy and merriment as Unique Family and Friends Ghana exchanged infectious smiles and hearty laughter with staff and students of Twin City Special school last Saturday.

Unique Family and Friends Ghana, a Takoradi-based humanity foundation that aims at using socialisation to address pressing social and environmental concerns, has, since its birth, embarked on several such philanthropic projects.

The visit dubbed, "Share the Smile", lived up to its purpose of writing smiles and joy on the faces of the special children of the school.

Speaking to Radio Shama's Nash Gyimah Obeng, director of the foundation, Mohammed Mahazu Moro, explained that the success of the program hinged on the collaborative efforts of his resilient team and that of authorities of the special school.

The director seized the opportunity to express his heartfelt gratitude to members of the foundation and cooperate bodies for their unrivalled sense of cooperation and solidarity. The director also hinted that more of such programs were on the cards and that the support of cooperate Ghana and individuals would be paramount to translating those dreams into a shining reality.

On her part, headmistress of the school, Mrs. Crescentia Efua Bilson-Sai, applauded the foundation's executives and members for their kind gesture and urged them to continue to be a blessing to Ghana and to humanity. The headmistress added that more of such visits to the school would go to a large extent of bringing hope to the special children.

The event, powered by Ada Photography and Takoradi-based Radio Shama, saw the special children take part in various action-packed activities. It was breathtaking and sightworthy to see the special children busily engrossed in activities such as footballing, singing, dancing, face painting and musical chairs.

Students of the school also had the privilege to 'wine and dine' with members of the foundation. The event concluded with a kind donation from the foundation to the school.
