A 35-year man caught with large quantity of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana has been ordered by the Juaso Circuit Court to be held in prison remand.
Kwame Agyei has been charged with illegal possession of narcotic drug and he pleaded not guilty.
He would make his next appearance on Wednesday, January 31.
Police Detective Sergeant Princeton Peasah Darkwah told the court, presided over by Mr. Yusif Assibey, that the accused was seized together with the dried leaves on January 03.
The police received a tip off that Agyei was carrying the psychoactive drug on a VIP bus and moved to arrest him immediately he came down from the bus at Asankare at about 0230 hours.
The dried leaves, compressed in 21 parcels had been concealed in a black travelling bag and he claimed ownership of the stuff.
He mentioned one 'Oboy' at Wankyi, near Asankare, as his source of supply.
