JAN 20, 2018 LISTEN

Mr. Emmanuel Narh, the Western Regional Director of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), has called on clients using the online system of application to complete all processes before submitting invoices to the office.

He said quite often, clients come to the office with invoices that did not cover all the requisite transactions and had to be taken through the whole process again- increasing turnaround time.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Narh said one transaction may embrace many of activities with different costs and these are often ignored by clients.

The DVLA Regional Director called on the public to familiarize themselves with the system and ask the relevant questions from authorities before generating the electronic invoice for submission.

On vehicle registration, Mr Narh said, a new office had been opened in the Tarkwa Municipality to take care of that sector and ensure that more vehicles are registered with fewer difficulties.

He said comparatively, the first two weeks of January witnessed a significant number of vehicles being registered as against the same period last year in spite of the existing challenges.

Mr Narh expressed the hope that when the new electronic system and its associated difficulties are solved, it would improve upon the operational efficiency of the whole registration process.
