As part of its effort to ensure quality healthcare delivery Nima community, the Nima Association of New York [NANY] has presented fourteen [14] dialyzes machine to 14 community hospitals within the Greater Accra region.

NANY is an association made of Ghanaian from Nima a suburb of Accra, living in the United States of America (USA).

The 14 hospitals include Nima Clinic, Mamobi Clinic, Yaro Clinic, Rayan Clinic, Lapaz Clinic and among other Clinics within the Ayawaso locality.

Presenting the items to the various hospitals at the forecourt of Nima clinic, the Immediate Past President of the association, Ahmed Alhassan Muhammed popularly known as Tanko Ajah, revealed that the donation of the hospital beds and the dialyses machines is aimed at ensuring good, quality and easy healthcare delivery in the various communities.

He added that the donation of the dialyses Machine to the community hospitals will make treatment very easy and affordable for the people.

“If for instance, korle-bu Teaching Hospital charges 50 Ghana cedis for putting a patient one a dialyses, the community hospitals will charge much less” he noted.

Mr. Muhammed, assures the hospitals, that the association would do it possible best to provide the hospitals other amenities they need, adding that the association has as well opened a new library at Nima and supported several needy and the poor within the community.

The event which took place at the forecourt of Nima clinic saw the attendance of traditional chiefs from Ayawaso, Imams, opinion leaders as well as other members of the community.

The beneficiaries expressed their gesture and assured the association of making good use of the machine, adding that the machine will help the various communities.
