Reverend Father Benjamin Nii Darko Robertson, the Parish Priest of St. Augustine Anglican Church, Dansoman, has called on Christians to demonstrate Christ-like behaviour in the discharge of their duties to accelerate national progress.

When peace, truthfulness, unity, integrity, discipline, hard work and respect for the rule of law are reflected in the behaviour of Christians, as extolled by Christ in His teachings, Ghana would be a successful nation for other developing countries to emulate, he said.

Rev.Fr. Robertson gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency during the Church's first Sunday Service of the year.

He condemned poor time management and other negative work practices among public and civil servants and urged them to turn a new leaf.

Rev Fr. Robertson said if Christians acknowledged their doctrine as followers of Jesus Christ, then they must be ready to live just like Him, by showing some positive attributes including respect, peace, obedience, law-abiding, love, humility and sacrifice.

He, therefore, urged Christians to let the lessons of the past year be a guide as they went about their various endeavours in the New Year.

With prayers, songs of praise and dancing, the congregation demonstrated gratitude to God for His divine protection and guidance that had brought them thus far.

They also prayed for the sick, needy, the country and the leadership.
