Indigenes of Saviefe-Agorkpo in the United States of America has presented 10 desktop computers and its accessories to the community basic school.
The equipment, estimated at GHC8,000.00, will serve 243 pupils at the local primary and junior high school.
Ms Leila Djansi, representative of the group said the gesture was to make education pleasant to children and prepare them for the technological world.
She reminded parents of the need to invest in the education of their children, saying, "The roots of education is bitter but the fruits are sweet."
Ms Djansi hinted of the group's commitment to support projects yearly in the community, including a gari processing factory for women.
Togbe Amankwanta III, Paramount Chief of Saviefe in a speech read on his behalf, expressed gratitude to the group and said the equipment would be put to good use.
He appealed to government to support the community's Agricultural Science Senior High School.
Mr Emmanuel Bedzra, Member of Parliament also commended the group for the foresight and pledged to provide desks, refurbish the computer laboratory and connect it to the internet.
