.... For Destroying Property Kumasi -- The Konongo Police have arrested three reverend ministers for allegedly destroying property at the Anwhire shrine in the area because the god has brought atrocities against members of the family where the shrine is located.

Rev Patricia Anima, Founder and Leader of the Lord Will Fight for Human Ministries at Konongo-Odumase, together with Rev John Wellington Koomson and Pastor Adongo, are said to have gone to the shrine with three uniformed soldiers who are yet to be identified.

They took away a sword of the god, gold plaited ornaments, stools and other items and allegedly set them ablaze.

The Ashanti Regional Crime Officer,Chief Superintendent Paul Frimpong Siaw, told the Graphic that Rev Anima, who was the main architect of the act,was not ready to accommodate any more the atrocities the god was bringing against her family.

Rev Anima had allegedly said that the Anhwire shrine was her family property but it had not brought anything good to the family, and as such it was better to destroy it.

Mr Siaw said that at about 11 a.m on July 7, 2005, the three pastors, accompanied by three uniformed soldiers went to the stool room of the Anwhire shrine.

He said Rev Anima and his group, upon entering the room, took two swords,a quantity of gold dust and an amount of ¢3.5 million.

Mr Siaw said the suspects later set the items ablaze. He said the caretaker of the shrine made a report to the police and the suspects were arrested.

He noted that the suspects had denied taking the money and the gold dust but the police had retrieved the burnt swords.

The crime officer added that the three Rev ministers had since been given police enquiry bail, while efforts were being made to trace the soldiers to assist in investigations.
