Skyplus Hotel and Vicarchie Ghana Limited, a shopping mall in Ho have presented food items, soft drinks and a television set to the Ho Central Prisons.
The items worth GHC16,000.00 are to mark the Christmas festivities and "make the inmates happy."
Mrs. Victoria Letsa, Chief Executive Officer of the firms said the annual gesture was to give back to society.
Deputy Director of Prisons, Victor Agbelengor, in charge of the Volta Region said 'this is a serious support to us because; home-made foods make the inmates know that society is thinking about them."
He said the Prisons needed drugs for the health needs of the over 500 inmates and also appealed to the Ho Municipal Assembly to help address sanitation challenges of the Prisons.
Last year, Vicarchie Ghana Limited presented assorted items including; detergents to the Prisons.
