The World Health Organistion ( WHO ) has acknowledged the petition by the National Union of Ghana Students ( NUGS) and has added its voice to the calls by the student leadership to the Ministry of Health to act expeditiously to their call.
WHO in a reply following the NUGS petition assures all students and the nation at large of their absolute commitment towards the health of all persons.
They have in this regard charged the health ministry to as a matter of urgency update their office with situational report on the cases and a comprehensive outline towards arresting the outbreaks and same should be given to the Union for circulation on student platforms.
They further assures of their readiness in partnering with the Union towards the promotion of health for all.
Meanwhile, 86 volunteers have been dispatched by the Union towards the Emergency Phase 1 effort of the Union in helping to protect our colleagues at the various High Schools .
