Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah, President of GOC, said the site, which was hitherto a forest has been cleared at no cost by Decker Engineering and Construction for work to begin on the sports facility.

He said the facility will be the home of young sports people between the ages of six to 16 years to train and also host competitions.

Mr. Nunoo Mensah said, the architects have taken measurements and done conceptual drawings, which would be ready by Monday, December 18.

'It is his wish that the Youth and Sports minister and other stake holders would make contributions into the final drawing before the visit on Wednesday'.

The GOC President said federation heads and GOC sub-committee members and the media would interact with the architects to share opinions on the site and design.

Mr. Paul Atchoe, GOC Vice President who is coordinating the visit said the youth of Ghana need such facilities to develop their sporting skills and talents.

He urged corporate Ghana to support the project which was going to be an improvement of similar projects in Togo and Cote d' Ivoire.
