NDC Bribes Jobseekers With Ice Cream

Investigations at the Tema District Council Labour (TDCL) have revealed that activists of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have infiltrated the ranks of jobless youth in the Tema municipality thus inciting them against the ruling NPP.

Last week to be precise, The Vanguard Intelligence Monitoring Team sighted Honorable Collins Dauda, NDC MP for Asutifi South donating cash and ice cream to jobless youth who had besieged the TDCL office in search of jobs. "You see how the NPP government has deceived you? Let's kick this corrupt government out of power!" A cadre from Ashaiman was quoted as saying. The Hon. MP was alleged to have donated twenty thousand cedi notes to each of the assembled youth who were there seeking for jobs. A few recipients of the largesse, who incidentally were NPP sympathisers showed their share of the windfall to a Vanguard undercover reporter.

Meanwhile frantic efforts by the vanguard to contact Hon. Alhaji Collins Dauda for his side of the story proved futile. Persistent attempts to reach him on his 'onetouch' network line as well as getting him personally at the Parliament house did not yield fruitful results. Even though the Vanguard could not establish any convert or overt intensions behind Hon. Collins Dauda's presence at the TDCL office, political analysts did not rule out the theory that his presence was part of a grand conspiracy to incite the jobless in the municipality against the New Patriotic party.
