Doron Medical Center To Offer World-Class Healthcare In Ghana

Doron Medical Center (DMC) with modern state-of-the-art facilities has officially been opened at New Jerusalem-Afienya on the Appolonia road to offer top of the world healthcare to its surrounding communities.

The location covers 4 acres of land and is surrounded by surplus land available for purchase when the expansion is needed.

The project is set to become the hub of medical outreaches to the rural village communities.

Rev. Dr. Godwin Ahlijah, Chief Executive Officer of Doron Medical Center, in his address during the grand opening over the weekend, gave all the glory and credit to the Almighty God who has made it possible.

He revealed that the center which houses an operating theater or surgical room with state of the art medical equipment will be the premier healthcare facility in the area.

"Doron is a Greek Word that is translated as 'Gift from God'. The hospital has a very solid dedicated professional medical team and offers comprehensive, coordinated, compassionate and most importantly cost-effective healthcare. The services being offered at the hospital include Family Medicine; Occupational Health; Paediatrics; Geriatrics; Maternal & Child Health; Laboratory Services; X-Ray; Ultra Sound; Psychotherapy and Executive Private Appointments," he said.

He went on to add that the center is always open to medical teams who are willing to come and volunteer their time, skills and work rotations and minister to the needy by traveling to the rural areas and participating in medical outreaches.

Doron Medical Center has partnered other health professionals from Europe and the USA to provide excellent and professional healthcare.

Doron Medical Center is the initiative of the founders of the Meaningful Life International, a non-denominational Christian Non-Governmental Organization, and a non-profit Missionary Agency registered under the Ghana code 3177 with the Registrars General Department and based in Tema in the Greater Accra Region.

MLI is registered with the Department of Social Welfare and a Member of the Ghana Evangelical Missions Association.

In 2006, it was registered as Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) for evangelical outreach. Born out of the desire to empower individuals to fulfill their God-given dreams, the agency’s main office is in the harbour port industrial city of Tema, Ghana.

Meaningful Life International entered the international scene in 2010 when its sister agency, Meaningful Life USA was awarded its 501(c) 3 charitable nonprofit status.

The vision that launched Meaningful Life International in 2006 was actually given to founders Rev. Dr. Godwin and wife Medical Dr. Lenusia Ahlijah back in their post-undergrad university days.

Godwin and Lenusia have for a long time, spent most of their time bringing relevant medical attention to the poor and underprivileged not just in Ghana but all over the continent of Africa.

The Doron Medical Center is the beginning of this precious vision.
