MTN Rewards Mobile Money Agents

Over 100 Agents of MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) have been eulogized for their outstanding performance and show of professionalism in accordance with the rules and regulations governing agents operations.

Speaking at the event, the General Manager of Mobile Financial Services, Mr. Eli Hini said MTN has set up the Mobile Money Agents Awards to celebrate agents who have exhibited professionalism in discharging their duties.

“Knowing how diligent you have worked as agents to ensure our customers have a good experience with MoMo services, we are celebrating you today for showing leadership and integrity in your day to day activities,” he stated.

Mr. Eli Hini indicated that as an organization, recognition is very important to them and that is why MTN instituted this awards scheme to reward and celebrate agents who have respected and discharged their duties in accordance with the rules and regulations governing Agent operations.

He added that the next event will take place in Kumasi after the first one was held in Takoradi in the Western Region.

General Manager of Mobile Financial Services noted that they are reminded as agents their responsibility to serve as an ambassador for the brand indicating that their actions and inactions impacts the image of MTN.

“Therefore we urged you to provide exceptional experience for our customers. Mobile Money is convenient and it will be unfair if customers have to go through hard times to access the service due to an agent’s poor conduct,” he intimated.

He said it is as a result of this that agents who over charge and do not adhere to the rules and regulations are dealt with and eventually blacklisted.

Mr. Eli Hini cautioned agents to desist from indulging or conniving with fraudsters to defraud customers indicating such culprits have been handed over to the police and prosecuted.

He stressed that they are working with the police to thoroughly screen personnel who apply to become agents of MoMo as part of measures to further check the abuses in the system.

Some deserving agents took homes prizes such as television sets, motor bikes, generator sets, mobile phones and others whiles the remaining wined and dined together at the plush Alisa Hotel.
