Regional Minister Supports Konongo Odumasi SHS Fire Victims

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah, has called for support for Konongo Odumasi Senior High School fire victims in the Region.

“Government alone cannot alleviate the plight of the victims. I am therefore appealing to all, particularly corporate bodies, philanthropists and development partners to come to the aid of these victims,” he said.

Students of Konongo Odumasi Senior High School in the Ashanti Region were forced to sleep in their computer laboratory and libraries as fire razed down portions their dormitories on Sunday, 10th, December 2017.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Regional NADMO Director, and Regional Education Director donated mattresses, blankets, buckets and other consumables to the school.

Items destroyed by the fire included books, mattresses, trunks, chop boxes, dresses and other personal belongings of the students.

Making the presentation to the school Authorities, Mr. Osei Mensah gave assurance that his outfit will act swiftly intervene to alleviate their plights.
