Mankranso (Ash), July 15, GNA - The Mankranso Magistrate Court on Tuesday bonded three farmers and a student for two years to be of good behaviour.

They will in default, pay five million cedis fine each or serve 12 months prison terms each.

They are Amma Serwaah, Yaa Amoah and Paulina Nyamekye, farmers, and Agnes Agyeiwaa, the student. They all pleaded guilty to the charge. Prosecuting, Police Inspector Isaac Dampson told the court presided over by Mr Frank Owusu-Afriyie that, on June 18, this year, Serwaah and Nyamekye confronted Yaa Amoah on the street for allegedly insulting them the previous day at Mpasaso in the Ahafo-Ano South District of Ashanti. He said this generated into a fight with Agyeiwaa, the student, joining Serwaah and Nyamekye to beat up Amoah.

Inspector Dampson said the victim therefore, reported the case to the Mpasaso police, who arrested the culprits and after investigations charged them with the offence.
