This year’s corporate excellence awards ceremony will come off in Accra on Thursday November 30th 2017 at the Kempinsky Gold Coast Hotel, under the distinguished patronage of H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.

The 2017 edition, the 16th of its kind to be organised by the Ghana Investment Promotion Center [GIPC, will be held under the theme: ‘’Industrialization –a tool for job creation and accelerated economic development’

According to a press statement issued in Accra recently, the event will identify and celebrate the best one hundred businesses in Ghana and also award the leading companies in each of GIPC’s strategic sectors.

The statement mentioned best company in agriculture and agribusiness, financial services, information and communication technology, services, infrastructure, petroleum and mining services, manufacturing, tourism, health and education as some of the strategic sectors to be awarded in.

There will also be special awards for outstanding business performers in selected categories including Corporate Social Responsibility [CSR] and the highest tax-paying company.

The statement continued that, the Centre will outdoor this year’s prestigious Ghana Club 100 Magazine – a commemorative publication containing messages from the President of the Republic to local and international businesses with an interest in the Ghanaian economy to climax the event, .

The magazine will also publish a full listing of the top-ranking companies as well as the ranking criteria and a directory of the top hundred companies in corporate Ghana.

The magazine , the 16th of its kind since its inception in 1997, which commands a wide readership of top business decision makers around the globe will also carry articles related to the Ghanaian business landscape as well as goodwill messages from the diplomatic community.

This year’s event is being proudly sponsored by B5plus, Newmont Ghana, GCNet, GOIL, GHACEM, M&G Pharmaceuticals, First Allied Savings and Loans, Japan Motors, Sunon Asogli Power Plant Limited, Sunda International and Kasapreko.

The press released mentioned Multimedia Group Limited (Joy Business), Graphic Communications Group Limited, New Times Corporation, Ghanaweb, Media General (TV3), and Business and Financial Times as the media partners.

The GIPC is a Government agency, responsible under the GIPC Act, 2013 (Act 865): to encourage and promote investments in Ghana, to provide for the creation of an attractive incentive framework and a transparent, predictable and facilitating environment for investment in Ghana.
