The largest fast foods and restaurant service provider, Papaye Fast Food Limited has announced its operations in Lapaz, Awudome and Haatso in the first quarter of 2018.

The Executive Chairman of Papaye Fast Foods Limited, Dr. Samir Kalmoni said the company will extend its services to Lapaz (Mecham House Annex B), Atomic Road (Haatso) and Awudome Round about (Bethel Emporium) in Greater Accra.

He said this at Papaye's Ourday Special to reward 810 pupils for their outstanding character.

The pupils were given certificates and educational materials to enhance their reading and learning skills.

Dr. Kalmoni indicated that the company in the coming years will extend its tentacles to other regions and subsequently outside the country.

On the occasion of the excellence awards, he noted that the award was instituted to recognise students who not only excel academically but also shown outstanding character.

"Regardless of their talents and interests, these selected ones have something in common —they are the role models for our younger generation, and above all, they are Papaye's young leaders of tomorrow," he stated.

The Chairman added that Papaye will not relent on its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts of continuing to celebrate remarkable achievements of brilliant students.

Dr. Kalmoni urged the pupils to strive harder for excellence in their academic pursuit in order to make themselves and the nation proud local and internationally.

He commended the heads and teachers for the grooming of these young talents for future leadership roles.

The Chairman appealed to parents of the pupils to always provide warmth and the environment for the children to unearth their potentials.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Papaye Fast Foods Limited, Mr. Devine Asiedu emphasized that Papaye Excellence Awards brought together brilliant and discipline pupils from 30 schools from both public and private.

According to him, each school were asked to present 27 pupils made up of first three pupils per class from Basic One to Junior High School (JHS) three.

He also urged parents to regulate the use of electronic gadgets by their wards as it has a potential of influencing them negatively.

"I further urge the Ministry of Education to look at our syllabus one more time. We suggest that the knowledge and skills imparted and acquired by the children in the classrooms should be relevant to successful careers and in fulfilment of the demand of the increasing globalised and competitive world," he intimated.

The Deputy Director in-charge of Management and Supervision at the Accra Metro Education Office, Mabel Esi Asigbetse urged the media to reduce their telenovela show and programmes and rather develop more educative contents that will the younger generation to be discipline and law abiding.

"The entertainment programmes has become too much on our televisions especially the telenovelas and must be reduced to the minimal and rather develop educative shows that will benefit our children to become responsible Ghanaians," she posited.
