We Demand Factory Details For Each District Of Central Region - Mike Dery

Mr Mike Dery, the President of NDC's vibrant youth wing, Young Cadres Association (YCA) and double as Deputy Regional Organizer of NDC, has taken a slap on the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Kwamena Duncan demanding the publication of types and locations revolving around the one-district one-factory policy since eleven months into power .

Commenting on the one-distirct one - factory policy, he said although the policy would help address the challenges of unemployment hovering around the current government like flies, the current Central Regional Minister, Hon. Kwamena Duncan has to come out with details of these factories so to restore confidence .

Indeed, factory establishment is not a nine-day-wonder where one can just wake up from sleep and start putting up a factory. It therefore requires a conduction of thorough feasibility studies to ascertain the sustainability and vitality of such a factory in question, he said.

According to him, factories are established based on resources available in an area, favourable factors necessary for the transformation of such resources and the needs of the people .

"Enough of the silence of the Regional Minister on the details of the policy because if indeed he, Hon Kwamena Duncan have a broad knowledge and really comprehends the policy, an action, a step, or a move would have at this time of his administration be taken as part of measures to materialise the policy in the region just in a bid to relief the youth of unemployment in the region as promised".

According to Mr. Mike Dery, I challenge the Regional Minister to come clear on the policy ( one-district one-factory ), categorically in the Central Region so to establish the realities of the much anticipated policy that the citizens of the Central Region are expecting, NDC can boast of Komenda Sugar Factory and Elmina Fish Processing Factory .
