1. FREE SHS.
The introduction and implementation of the Free Senior High School program by President Akufo Addo and his Vice-president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is seen as the greatest Achievement of the NPP government .It is also seen as the best policy a government has initiated under the 4th Republic based on the fact that it has helped put extra 90 thousand children into secondary school. These children wouldn’t have been in school if the policy had not been implemented. In all over 470 thousand children benefitted from the program in 2017. Government spent close to ghc400 million to implement the program and the amount is expected to increase next year.

2. STABLE POWER- ELECTRICITY GENERATION
Since the NPP government took over power in 2017, the power situation has greatly improved. The country only experience power outage or power cut during heavy thunder storm or rainfall or when there are technical /mechanical faults. Government has settled the over US$200 million debt to Nigeria Gas and gas supply is believed to have been restored. The constant and sustainable supply of electrical power and gas from Atuabo has helped to improve business growth and development especially among manufacturing firms, industries and micro and small scale firms. The Industrial sector alone grew by 17.7 percent in 2017 from about 0.2% in 2016

3. SUCCESSFUL FIGHT AGAINST ILLEGAL MINING
The fight initiated by President Akufo Addo and his government has brought good results. It has helped restored most of our rivers and water bodies to their earlier state. Villages and communities are now able to depend on stream and rivers for survival. Our forest reserves are also taking shape .

4. REVIVING THE NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME.

Government is taking measures to repay all the debts owed by the National Health Insurance Authority and make the National Health Insurance scheme strong. Information indicates that all the debts government owed health providers have been settled creating an avenue for smooth implementation of the National Health Insurance Program

5. DIGITIZING PAYMENT SYSTEMS AT THE VARIOUS PORTS

Government began the implementation of the paperless clearing system on September 1, 2017, to speed up the process of clearing goods from two weeks to four hours, and ensure order at the port, whilst blocking loopholes. The Process has been successful and reduced the turnaround time at the ports.

6. NATIONAL DIGITAL PROPERTY ADDRESSING SYSTEM

The National Digital and Property Addressing System, aptly-dubbed ‘ghanapostGPS,’ a modern approach to allocating addresses within a defined space with the aid of the latest geocoding technology, is also regarded as one of the achievement of the NPP government.

The project constitute a practical manifestation of another promise of the New Patriotic Party made during the 2016 campaign to modernized and formalized the Ghanaian economy by establishing a national identification system which sits on a digital and property addressing system.

The informal nature of Ghana’s economy had been a major constraint to her development, thus, affecting the nation’s ability to broaden the tax base, deepen and widen financial inclusion and deliver services to those most in need.

The project, incorporated in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Ghana Post, is giving the country a trustworthy database of addresses. A proper addressing of properties is expected to ensure efficient delivery of services for economic development.

7 REDUCTIONS IN CORRUPTION IN GOVERNMENT AND STATE AGENCIES.

Compared to the previous NDC government corruption in Akufo Addo’s government has drastically reduced. In sector s like COCOBOD, SADA, the sports and Energy Ministries, Youth employment programs and the seat of government among others, cases of corruption have drastically reduced compared to happenings in 2016 under the National Democratic Congress .

8 THE AGRIC SECTOR
THE NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL PLANTING FOR FOOD PROGRAM

The program is expected to modernize agriculture, improve production, achieve food security and make Ghana more self-sufficient, whilst creating jobs for the youth. So much money has been invested in the program and this has started yielding results .

1,200 agricultural extension officers have been hired and trained nationwide to support Planting for Food and Jobs. Fertilizer prices have been reduced by 50% whiles 300,000 metric tonnes of fertilizers has been imported into the country. This is higher than any annual import since 2007.

9. NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM
The Introduction of the National Identification program by the NPP government which is expected to replace all identification cards and able to identify Ghanaians and distinguish them from other nationals.

10. MINISTRY OF JUSTICE –SPECIAL PROSECUTOR

The approval of the Special Prosecutor’s Bill into law has been described as one of the best policies of the Akufo Addo Bawumia led government to fight corruption. Under this Act accused public and private individuals would be properly investigated and prosecuted and the public purse protected.

The object of the Bill is to establish the Office of the Special Prosecutor as a specialized agency to investigate specific cases of corruption involving public officers, politically exposed persons, and persons in the private sector involved in the commission of corruption and to prosecute the offences on the authority of the Attorney-General.

The establishment of the Office of a Special Prosecutor is one of the key campaign promises of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The establishment of an effective and operationally independent Special Prosecutor is expected to effectively contribute to ongoing efforts at combating corruption. The office is also expected to help reduce the workload on existing investigative agencies and thereby enhance their effectiveness.

Per Clause 3(4) of the Act, only corruption cases involving vast quantity of assets which threaten the political stability or sustainable development of the country are to be handled by the Office.

Under the NPP government, Ghana won its maritime litigation against Ivory Coast at the International Law of The seas (ITLOS) This means that Ghana secures its boundary and wins extra space to explore and produce more oil and generate more revenue from oil to develop and cushion its economy.
