PRIO cleans Oda Hospital

Akim-Oda (E/R), July 10, GNA - Members of the Akim Oda branch of Project Research Implementation Organization (PRIO), an NGO on Saturday spent several hours in a clean-up exercise at the Akim Oda Governmental Hospital.

Led by Mr Emmanuel Frempong, Local Chairman of the NGO, the members scrubbed the walls, weeded and swept the surroundings of the hospital. Speaking to newsmen later, Mr Frempong said the clean-up exercise would be organized every two weeks as the contribution of the organization towards the improvement of sanitation at the hospital.

He used the occasion to appeal to members of the organization to pay their dues regularly, assuring them that those, who apply for credit facilities to expand their businesses and farming ventures, would soon be carted for.

The Secretary for the NGO, Mr James Okine-Famous appealed to the Birim South District Assembly to provide them with logistics to enable them to extend their clean-up exercise to other parts of the town.
