President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on the advice of the Ghana Education Service Council and in consultation with the Public Services Commission, has confirmed the appointment of Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa the substantive Director-General of the Ghana Education Service.
A statement issued by the GES and signed by Anthony Boateng, Acting Deputy Director-General, urged all stakeholders and the public to take note.
Until his appointment, Prof Opoku-Amankwa was the Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
He replaces Jacob Kor, who has been Director-General of the GES since January 2015 .
