The Right Reverend (Rt Rev.) Seth Senyo Agidi, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana has advised Christians to serve God and humanity in obedience and truth.

He urged Christians to live a Christ-like life of love, humility, selflessly, with godliness and good neighbourliness as demonstrated by Christ.

'Today's leadership is not an opportunity to serve in humility and obedience but is an opportunity to amass wealth, and so there is corruption in the church and the nation'. id.

Rt. Rev. Agidi was delivering a sermon on the theme: 'Labouring in the Lord's Vineyard-60 Years of Service to God and Country,' at the Garrison Methodist-Presbyterian Church (GMPC), Burma Camp in Accra, to climax the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of the Church.

The thanksgiving service was the climax of activities including medical outreach, donations and a revival session lined up for the Diamond Jubilee Celebration.

Rt. Rev. Agidi asked Christians to strive to win souls for Christ as directed by God in Mathew 28:19.

He prayed for God's guidance and protection for the church and entreated members to unite and work towards the growth of the church.

He also admonished Christians to be prayerful and always find time to study the Bible and lead humble lives worthy of emulation.

Lieutenant General Obed Akwa, the Chief of the Defence Staff on behalf of the Military High Command, donated an amount of GHȼ5,000.00 and $1,000 to support the Church in its activities.

Citations were also presented to distinguished personalities who have contributed enormously to the development of the church.

The GMPC which started in June 1957 has membership from the Methodist, Presbyterian and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana.

It also has a few members of other denominational faith such as AME Zion Church and the Salvation Army.
