The Ashanti regional police has arrested the leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Akua Donkor over a Gh¢10,500 fraud case against her.
The complainant in the case Ama Yeboah told the police the politician sold a parcel of land to her back in 2009 but has never known peace from Donkor’s relatives.
She said the relatives have prevented her from going on the land to develop it, adding Madam Donkor has failed to address the issue.
Hearing that the politician has arrived in Kumasi, she reported the case to the police on Monday, October 23, 2017 upon which an arrest was made.
The police has confirmed the arrest and are currently investigating the case.
