Last Wednesday marked International Day Of the Girl and as part of the celebration director of Global Foundation for Women and Development Margaret Konima Sesay paid a visit to Dzorwulu Primary encouraging to go for what they want.

Madam Konima as part of her visit donated exercise books and other reading materials to the school telling them they have a bright future.

“As today marks International Day Of the Girl I have the believe most of the students in Dzorwulu Primary will become prominent people in the society” she said.

Medals were awarded to dedicated teaches of the school. Deputy teachers Elizabeth Obeng and Letitia Agyei received awards for long serving teachers. The awardees also included the head teacher of the school Mrs. Joyce Nana Simmons.

Students of the school displayed their talents as they engaged in cultural dance, poem recitation and singing. Some of the students were seen with posters that had writings I am a girl and I can do anything, I can change the world, I want to be a teacher, I want to be a singer and I want to be a nurse.

Dr Margaret Konima Sesay said in an interview that she chose Dzorwulu Primary because she has been to the school a couple of times.
