With funds from donors, The Islamic Council for Development and Humanitarian Services is noted for providing communities with mosques, schools, clinics, boreholes and supports orphans throughout Ghana and Africa.
The latest of the projects to be executed free of charge was an educational institution built at Wenchi in the Brong Ahafo Region. It is known as al Farouk education college meant to provide students with secular and Islamic studies with specialization in Quran recitation.
The institution was built by ICODEHS with funds from Dubai Charity Association. Abdallah Ibrahim the director of Human Resource of the Institution thanked Allah, the donors and ICODEHS for the institution being the first of its kind in the community and pleaded for additional classrooms for the instruction to enable the admit more students in future.
Sharifatu Swallah a level 100 student of the institution said as pioneers they are grateful for the opportunity to enter higher studies close to their homes and promised to put in their best in their studies.
The vice principal of the school on his part commended those who combined to erect the institution and asked for more classrooms and a clinic to cater for the medical needs of the institution.
