ICODEHS Opens A New Training Center At Alajo With The Support Of Carter Centre Of USA

The Islamic Council for Deployment and Humanitarian Services [ICODEHS] has opened a new training center, known as ICODEHS Training Center at Alajo in the Greater Accra Region. The establishment of the center was supported by the Carter Center of the United States of America.

FRESH TRAINEES AT THE CENTRE
According to officials of ICODEHS, the center was established to offer free training and retraining of young ladies in sewing in Accra. The center would empower the beneficiaries to hold their own to work to generate income to support themselves and families.

Apart from establishing the center, ICODEHS also donated a number of sewing machines, at a separate ceremony to some freshly trained seamstresses to be able to pursue their trades independently. The sewing machines were donated with funds from the Red Crescent Society of the United Arab Emirates.

BENEFICIARIES OF ONE OF THE SEWING MACHINE
The Executive Chairman of ICODEHS Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim was full of praise for those who provided funds for the center and the offer of sewing machines and called on officials and trainers to put the center to good use by turning out well qualified trainees. The trainees were also advised to take their lessons seriously to qualify to be of help to themselves, the society and the nation as a whole.

Apart from the center ICODEHS which was established in 1991 has built many mosques, clinics, orphanages, schools, supports orphans, offer free medical care periodically and donates refrigerators and sewing machines to people especially ladies in the country and beyond.
