How can the government be playing with the lives of 2016 batch of technical universities?

Last year the else while administration converted 6 polytechnics to technical universities and later added the Cape Coast and Tamale Technical Polytechnics.

Students who completed the then polytechnics cried out loud to the government to constitute governing councils of these institutions because they were done with their national service and were still not having their certificate to either secure themselves jobs nor further their education.

There was a rumour earlier this week that the Cape Coast and Tamale Technical Universities were not going to have their councils constituted because the government is claiming the two schools didn't meet the requirements to be upgraded to a technical university status.

Earlier today the rumours became a reality, the minister of education constituted and inaugurated the 6 schools that were converted earlier leaving the Cape Coast and Tamale technical universities, Wa and Bolga Polytechnics.

My question is the minister of education telling us he never saw the reassessment report by the NTCE?

2. Is the minister saying he never saw any report by his predecessor on the converted Polytechnics and suggestions thereon?

3. Should the Cape Coast and Tamale Technical Universities change all documents, branded vehicles, signposts, etc back to polytechnic? And who bears the costs involved?

Can we be serious as a country and stop playing with the lives of young people who need their certificates to go on in life.

Can we stop the politicisation of our educational sector?
