JUN 20, 2005 LISTEN

Accra, June 20, GNA - The 2005 GT Premier League will resume this Thursday, at all the league centres after going on a month's break. The break was necessitated by the involvement of the senior national team, the Black Stars in the World Cup qualifying series, which saw them winning their last two matches against Burkina Faso at home and a resounding 2-0 victory over South Africa in Johannesburg last Saturday within two weeks.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicates that the top on the bill of the League fixtures will be the home match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Obuasi AshantiGold at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra. Hearts, currently perched at the top of the table will be seeking to consolidate their lead with a victory whilst the miners are yet to find their right rhythm in the eight-week old Premiership.

In other matches, King Faisal will play host to Real Tamale United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi whilst Feyenoord Academy host Tema Real Sportive at the Swedru Sports Stadium.

Sekondi Hasaacas will also be at home to welcome the 'surprised' team of the 2005 Premiership, Berekum Arsenals with newly promoted Kade Hotpurs doing battle with Dnasoman-based Liberty Professionals at Kade. At the Tema Sports Stadium, Power FC who split the points with Kumasi Asante in their last League match before the break will ride on brave performance to pick the maximum points at stake when they welcome struggling Okwawu United.

Asante Kotoko who have been used to encountering tough times at the Sunyani Coronation but always come out with a victory will be the guests of Tano Bofoakwa in a match in which the odds favour the "Reds' despite playing in an away game.

Heart of Lions after drubbing Bofoakwa in the last league game at the Kpando Sports Stadium will still be at home to welcome Ebusua Dwarfs at the same venue.

Just in....
