Legon SRC congratulate AMA Chief Executive


Accra. June 15, GNA - The Student Representative Council of the University of Ghana, Legon on Wednesday congratulated Mr. Agyiri Blankson, Chief Executive of Accra Metropolitan Assembly on his re-election and his efforts in decongesting Accra. A statement jointly signed by Mr Lom Nuku Ahlijah, SRC president and Mr Anuga Fortunate, SRC press secretary urged Mr. Blankson to continue with the visionary leadership, the innovative and the resoluteness which marked his first term.

It said, "It is an understatement to assert that Mr Blankson deserves accolades for proving his sceptics wrong in his bid to decongest Accra and therefore to bring in its wake a well-ordered and planned city." The statement declared; "We are with him."

It however, called on the Chief Executive to guide against complacency and sycophancy, intensify the decongestion exercise to bring in its wake a well -ordered and planned city.

"On a lighter note, we would implore Mr Blankson to extend his decongestion exercise to our lecture theatres and halls of residence which are choked to the point of stifling," the statement added.
