Abide by laws on building construction - Co-ordinator

Kasoa (C/R), June 9, GNA - Mr Francis Doughan, Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Co-ordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), has called on land developers in the district, especially Kasoa, to abide by the laws governing the construction of residential houses. He said that this was one of the surest ways to avoid natural disasters like, floods.
Mr. Doughan gave the warning after inspecting houses of twenty-five flood victims at Kasoa during recent heavy down pours including the Anglican Church. He appealed for adequate resources to enable officers of the organisation to intensify their educational activities in rural areas to stem man-made disasters.
