MP donates to Bole Hospital

Bole (N/R), May 31, GNA - An appeal has been made to government to provide the Bole Hospital with a standby generator to facilitate its work and an ambulance to enable the hospital to transport emergency cases to either the Wa or Tamale Hospital.

Hajia Hawawu Mahama, Acting Bole District Director of Health Service made the appeal at Bole when Mr. John Mahama, MP for the area, donated medical items valued at over 30 million cedis to the Hospital following an appeal he made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Days Saints in Accra for assistance.

The items included, theatre equipment, disinfectants, surgical and sterile gloves, ventilator circuit, trawlers, gowns, bandages, cotton wool and other items for laboratory and general use.

Presenting the items, Mr. Mahama commended the hospital staff for their high sense of duty and hospitality to the sick and urged them to put in more effort in health delivery.

He thanked the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints for responding promptly and positively to his request and expressed the hope that the items would be used judiciously.

Hajia Mahama thanked the MP and the Church for coming to the aid of the hospital, saying that the items would enhance health care delivery in the Bole District.
