Cape Coast, May 30, GNA - Right Reverend Daniel Allotey, Anglican Bishop of Cape Coast, on Sunday called on heads of academic institutions to endeavour to exhibit good leadership qualities to enhance discipline and academic work.

He said when people in leadership positions play the role of the "good Shepard" like Jesus Christ; it would go a long way to enhance discipline, peace and unity in the country.

Rev. Allotey made the call during the induction of Mr Herbert Kwesi Krufi Graham, as the new headmaster of Adisadel College in Cape Coast. He replaces the late Headmaster, Mr J.E.C. Kitson.

Mr Graham, 51, is the 19th headmaster of the college and holds a B.Sc. (Hon) degree in biology from the University of Ghana, Legon. Rev. Allotey underscored the important role the school had played in the development of the country, referring to the Speaker of Parliament and the Inspector General of Police, who were past students. He told the headmaster that to be a leader was not meant to lord it over others but rather a call for sacrifice.

Osabarima Kwesi Atta, Omanhene of Oguaa, (Paramount Chief of Cape Coast) called for team work to ensure effective academic work on campus. Mr Graham an old student of the school, pledged to live up to expectation.
