President committed to reduce economic hardship

Gomoa Ekwamkrom, (C\R), June 28, GNA - Mr Ekow Ewusie, a leading Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has exhorted the grassroot supporters of the Party that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is committed to implement policies and programmes to reduce economic hardship.

He said the President would never turn his back to the masses in the area of job and wealth creation to improve the living standards of Ghanaians.

Mr Ewusie gave the advice when he addressed a delegates' conference of Gomoa Central Constituency of the NPP at Ekwamkrom, near Agona Swedru in the Central Region

He stated that the one district one factory and planting for food and jobs policies captured in the NPP manifesto would be accomplished.

He said President Akufo-Addo had appointed competent economic management team to ensure that the promises he gave to Ghanaians were fulfilled.

He urged the top hierarchy of the Party to endeavour to create income generating ventures for the 275 constituencies.

Mr Ewusie who is also a business consultant said the NPP must be adequately resourceful in order not to dip its hands into state funds to run its activities.

Mr Kumi Bruce, Regional Chairman of Council of Elders of the NPP urged the supporters to restraint themselves from acts of violence, which could affect the image of the Presidency and Party as a whole.

He said government would ensure that Ghana became a better place to live.

He said the NPP inherited huge indebtedness created by the National Democratic Congress and the Party could not use few months to reverse the rot.
