Jomoro NPP Delegate's Conference Was Colourful

Over 1000 New Patriotic Party (NPP) loyalists in the Jomoro constituency of the Western Region on Monday June 26 participated in the party's annual delegates' conference held at Mpataba Community Centre in the Western Region of Jomoro District.

Speaking at the program, the Acting Western Regional Chairman for the NPP, Mr Francis Ndede Siah called on the party members to eschew differences and rally behind the NPP government and the president.

Mr Francis Ndede Siah appealed to the party's members to be united and work hard for another victory for the party in 2020.

He added that winning 2020 elections depend on the unity in the party. "Let us unite as one and support the Member of Parliament, with unity, the NPP party will be in power for 22 years".

He also used the occasion to thanked the party supporters and sympathizers for the overwhelming endorsement they gave to President Nana Addo during the 2016 general elections.

Mrs. Eunice Buah Esumahene who is a native of Jomoro and a Council of State member from the Western Region expressed her profound appreciation to the NPP members who supported her in prayers during the elections of Council of State.

She pleaded with the NPP members to forgive each member in the party and be united so that the victory of NPP in the 2020 general elections would be easy.

She also pledged to support the development drive in the Jomoro District anytime the need arises.

Mrs. Eunice Buah appealed to the Assembly Members to confirm the DCE nominee for the area as the President has re-nominated him for the second time for the smoothness administration of the District.

She added; "Every NPP member should not hate any party member and I call on everyone to support President Nana Addo and Hon Paul Essien who is the MP so that developmental projects will spread in the District".

Dominic Eduah the Deputy National Youth Organizer for the party who represented his boss Sammy Awuku, thanked the polling station executives for the great work they did in the 2020 elections. "The polling station executives must be recognize everyday because they made Nana Addo be President of the Republic of Ghana".

He also pleaded with the Assembly Members to confirm the DCE Nominee, Hon Eric Muah as the DCE for the Jomoro District.

In a closing remark, Constituency Chairman for the Jomoro, Mr Ernest Koffie expressed his profound gratitude to all party members for their unflinching support for the party.

The Constituency Chairman promised delegates that the constituency executives would continue to be open, accessible to all party members and more transparent.

Mr Ernest Koffie made it know to the party members about the party's constitution which has been amended by the constituency executives.

He explained that the final amendment of the constitution would be done by NEC during the National Delegates Congress which will take place in Cape Coast of the Centre Region on August 2017.

He made their proposed amendment of the party's constitution, Article 6(3) to the party members that the Article not allow the position of deputies thus deputy youth organiser, deputy woman's organizer, deputy treasurer to be elected by delegates.

He added that those positions in the party should be look at again and let the delegates vote on them.

"But we propose that Communication Director, Nasara Coordinator and Elections and Research Officer positions shouldn't be contest and remain as such so that party leadership can appoint hardworking, experience and competent peoples to handle those positions.

The party's members accepted the position the constituency executives took on the Article 6(3) of the constitution.

Present at the conference were the Deputy Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Hon Paul Essien who doubles as MP for Jomoro, the Presidential Staffer who doubles as NPP Western Regional Secretary Mr Charles Bisiw, NPP Western Regional Organizer Mr Addo Gamilu, Mr Van Nyame and among others.
