Woman steals 5-month-old baby in Kumasi

The Police in the Ashanti region are on a manhunt for a woman who stole the baby of a trader at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) junction in Kumasi.

The mother of the baby, narrated that she left the baby in the care of her 11-year-old daughter to attend to a customer.

The alleged baby thief approached the young girl to buy her eggs and offered to carry the baby while she went to get her the eggs.

Moments later, the mother of the baby returned to the sad story that the unknown woman had bolted with her baby.

Several attempts to trace the strange woman has proved futile.

Disclosing the information to the media, the Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti regional Police Command, Juliana Obeng appealed to the general public to be on the lookout for any suspicious person found with a five month old baby.
