Up the effort to keep the communities clean

Koforidua (E/R), June 13, GNA - Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies have been asked to make environmental sanitation an urgent priority.

Mr. Robert Kwaku Adjei, Environmental Sanitation Manager of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, said this called for sustained public education and enforcement of the by law to ensure that basic standards were maintained.

Making the call through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Koforidua, he said more needed to be done to keep the communities clean.

He added that people should not be allowed to continue to litter and dump refuse at unauthorized points.

He also underlined the need to provide improved sanitation facilities for the population.

Mr. Adjei applauded the government's vision of making Accra - the national capital, one of the cleanest cities in Africa and said Zoomlion would stand with it every step of the way to make this a dream come true.
