The office of the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly (ASHMA) Chief Executive, was, on Monday dawn, burgled by unidentified persons.

This is barely less than a week after his official residence was broken into by unknown thieves, who bolted with several valuables of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Albert Boakye Okyere.

The office of Mr. Okyere at ASHMA is on the first floor, and so the burglars were suspected to have gained entry into the office, whose rear window is made of glass, after climbing a ladder.

When The Chronicle arrived at the assembly, the police had locked the burgled office and were not ready to grant any interview to the media on what items might have been stolen from the MCE’s office.

In the interim, Mr. Okyere was using the Assembly Hall as his office, where, in spite of the incident he was yet to recover from, a host of guests had queued to meet him.

Albert Boakye Okyere expressed shock at the incident, thus, requested the media to allow the police to go into the two incidences he had had to suffer at his residence and office.
