RIGWORLD, an indigenous Oil and Gas service provider has taken a giant step to set up   practical and technical Oil and Gas safety training school, in line with the local content law.

The school, which is at Kejabil in the Ahanta West District, would have a quota for indigenous Ahanta people, who would want to be trained in the practical and technical Oil and Gas training.

Currently, work on the approved training school is ongoing and is expected to be completed and commissioned in August this year.

Sixty three courses are expected to be run at the school; including Basic Offshore Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET), Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) and Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) amongst others.

Speaking to Journalists, the Head of Training at Rigworld, Mr. Carlos Acheampong said the school's main objective would be to offer oil and gas safety training and provide rigging activities onboard the Rig so that trainees would have technical knowledge.

That apart, the school would have simulators where real life stories would be depicted to the trainees as a means to avert possible accidents on board the Rig.

With Rigworld training and technical safety school, prevention of possible accidents is assured. The General Manager of Rigworld, Ms. Naa Syntyche told Journalist that the company has a vision to lead in the Oil and Gas industry.
