Yesterday, we studied about lust as an invisible giant. Today let us study the sixth kind of an invisible giant: the lack of self-control. Self-control is the ability to control your behavior and not show strong emotions.

We are being told Shechem, the ruler of Hivite defiled Dinah. What went into his decision to commit rape?

We can agree Shechem's behavior towards Dinah was rude. But don't you think he could have controlled his weakness (lack of self-control). His weakness became an invisible giant.

Since he couldn't slay the invisible giant: lack of self-control, he was caught in the web of lust.

Generally, people are challenged by this kind of invisible giant. The lack of self-control in the society ought to be quelled because it's consequences can be intolerable.

To slay this kind of giant, you have to free yourself from this weakness.

Nurture your own walk with God so that you can hear His voice when He speaks to you. Seek the Lord with all your heart and you will find His will for your life. Be admonished.
