Details Of GHANAFEST 2005 Unveiled

By Ghanafest Organizers

Chicago, May 22-: Organizers of Ghanafest, an outdoor exhibition with a makeup theme of a Cultural Exposition, are taking a different approach to the festival. On Tuesday, May 3 2005, the Executive Council of the Ghana National Council (GNC) rolled out T-Shirts and Caps for GhanaFest 2005, at a cost of ten US Dollars a piece. Proceeds from the sales of the cap and T-shirt will be used to organize an activity for the youth this summer. Printing of the T-shirt early is in line with the Executive Council's aim of promoting the festival early to the non-Ghanaian and the Ghanaian public.

Also there will be a two week advertisement on WGN Radio 720 and on Ghanaweb.

Members of the public who patronize Ghanafest raffle tickets will have a lot of items to try their luck on this year as the GNC has approved a twenty-inch flat screen TV as the first prize and nineteen other prizes that includes DVD and CD players.

Art and Craft Vendors will pay $70.00 per 10 by 10 inches booth space whilst corporate spaces will go for $300.00 .

DJ's and musicians attending the festival and want to participate should email [email protected] or call 773-425-7318 to register before July 1st 2005.
