The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has appointed Pharm. Rauf Audu as the substantive Registrar of the Pharmacy Council, in line with Article 195 of the 1992 constitution.

He replaces Mr. Joseph Nyoagbe, the immediate past Registrar of the Council.

In a maiden status update meeting with Heads of Department and Regional Managers at the conference room of Pharmacy Council in Accra, the Registrar, advised all staff to work as a team to guarantee the highest levels of pharmaceutical care.

Further, he indicated that the vision and mission of the Pharmacy Council could only be realized through hard work and commitment. He acknowledged with gratitude the contributions of his predecessors in steering the affairs of the Council.

To step up the operations of the Council, he signalled the possibility of reshaping, introducing some interventions, or redefining some pathways towards upholding the guiding philosophy and core values of the Council.

Situational reports were presented by all heads of Department and Regional managers to the new Registrar. He assured the management team of his readiness to address the challenges facing the organization and called for their commitment to work as a team to achieve the organizational goals and objectives.

In this regard he assured the managers of being friendly, fair and firm in the discharge of his duty as Registrar of the Pharmacy.

The new Registrar used the forum to appeal to the Council’s stakeholders to be mindful of the regulations governing their activities.
